Lovely Lady

A HAPPY BIRTH

The image of a pleasant-faced girl holding up a fork has become synonymous with The Pancake Parlour restaurants.

Artist Peter Von Czarnecki adapted a woodcut from a long-defunct British magazine advertisement for ‘Harleen for the Hair’. Peter replaced the comb in the ladies hand with a fork and underneath emblazoned the simple word “LOVELY!”

The now famous LOVELY! Lady logo was born.

The LOVELY! Lady has adorned such unlikely places as the helmets of the US Soldiers in Vietnam, the snowmobiles of the Australian contingent in Antarctica and the giant hot-air balloons of The Pancake Parlour co-founder Roger Meadmore in the skies over Europe during world championships.
